ALIVE
Outside, the slow moving waters of the creek sing to me as I awake. The snow covered trees wave their bare branches and the smell of burning firewood fills the air as the sun begins to rise over the snow covered peaks. The morning sky, fresh and crisp, whispers a cool hello. A small deer moves about outside my window and with a twinkle in its eye reminds me where I am. I am alive and all around me lives.

  8. It seems that you were really inspired by the nature. You wrote about how a cold morning can have so many beautiful things if you analize every details of it. Also, the way that you describe that morning let me have a vivid imagine of what that morning was, and made me feel that I am alive as well.

  19. You did a great job capturing the senses in this piece. I think often that a good number of writers rely on the visual and forget they can touch, smell and hear the world around them also. I think that's what brings this poem to life.

I humbly defer that your site is every bit as sophisticated as my own, but thanks again for the compliment. &)
