On one of my visits to Shiv's Brain, I was drawn to his Picture Personality Profile post. Shiv selected 13 pictures that in some way reflect his likes or held some special meaning for him. I loved the idea and thought I would follow along. Unlike Shiv who chose to add comments to each picture, I have decided to add nothing to my photographs and allow the readers to draw their own conclusions from my seven selections.
Lofty Ledge Blue Ridge Mountains by Anthony Cook
The Sower by Vincent van Gogh
A Blossoming Dogwood Tree in Virginia by Annie Belt Portrait of Artist Georgia O'Keeffe Sitting on the Roof of Her Ghost Ranch Home
by John Loengard
Wow, some stunning images there! And a definate themes of "potential", the beauty of the world, and new beginnings. Love the post :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Shiv! I love the earth tones in the photos and everything nature inspired. The photo of an old O'Keeffe reminds me of my grandmother; she even looks like her. My grandmother would have climbed on the roof of her house even in her 80's, but I don't think she ever did. I find this particular black and white photo of an aged woman quite inspiring...
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting idea!
ReplyDeleteThe photos you've chosen are beautiful in their own way for their own reason!
Cheers
I have 3 reasons for wanting to visit this blog often.
ReplyDeleteYour writing.
Love of NC Mountains

I LOVED each of these photos and paintings. And in each one I saw a part of myself AND a part of you. I immediately saw why you would choose each photo/painting. It may not be the reason that YOU chose them but something about each one seems to reflect a part of who you are. The photos are gorgeous. I know why you love the mountains and trees. You comment on my tree post moved me to tears. It reflects such a deep part of who you are. A part that is always with you. It IS you. I was very moved by it. Hugs and love, Robin
